We are located the Tri Valley region of the San Francisco's East Bay, but am happy to serve the entire Bay Area and parts of Northern California. 

Your family Heirloom Session is typically 1-1.5 hours. Sometimes we get carried away chatting or we are having so much fun we lose track of time, I take extra time to make sure you feel confident and comfortable with me, being in front of the camera, and walking you and your family though loose poses that convey your loving connection. Your comfort level is so important to me! From some sessions we may walk between two different locations so you have a little variety in images.

For the Heirloom Session we suggest 1-2 outfits. A couple outfits gives you variety to choose from during your image reveal session. To help you with this we will send you our Welcome Guide after you book your session which is packed with clothing tips. In addition to that we will go over your outfits and accessories during the style consult before your session.

Please remember you do not need to bring more than one outfit! Putting together just one coordinating for your family can be complicated enough. You may have young kids (or husband with limited patience for family photos lol) who won't tolerate an outfit change. I have been there my friend and I completely understand!

Any image that you purchase will be professionally edited. I will remove blemishes and anything distracting in the background like a pole or orange cone, fix the color and contrast so the image pops, and I will make sure it has my own personal magic blend to take your photo from good to great. It is also important to note there are edits I don't do. I will not make your skin overly soft. All skin should have texture in photos. Nor will I remove scars, freckles, moles, or birthmarks unless you ask me to. And unfortunately I can't make those ten pounds go away ;). These things are a part of you and your unique beauty! 

I tell our clients that when it comes your Heirloom Session the world is your oyster! We have several Bay Area and Tri Valley locations that have been popular with our families. During the planning stage of your custom Heirloom Session I will provide you with galleries of these locations so you are able to see what they look like throughout the year. However, this does not mean you are limited to these locations. This session is about your family and where we photograph you all should reflect that. In the Bay Area and Northern California there is no shortage of scenic and unique spots. Also, my chronic case of wanderlust has an added benefit to you: I know of a lot of lovely gems scattered throughout California and Oregon. Ask any of my friends, I have the keen ability to find some pretty rad and authentic places. Depending on where they are some locations may incur an additional travel fee due to distance, and permitting and entrance fees.
